The British Dyslexia Association has launched an animation which they hope will develop more understanding, empathy and the desire to help dyslexic pupils to reach their true potential.
The animation, funded as part of a Department for Education project, is aimed at primary aged children; their parents and teachers and addresses misconceptions by shedding light on the real challenges dyslexic children face whilst also acknowledging their strengths and potential.
Supporting teaching materials are available on the BDA website and the organisation will be contracting schools to share the resource pack and a special version of the animation with an introduction from TV presenter, Dom Wood.
