Parental support groups Dyslexia Network Plus and Fun with Autism have added over 250 books to Thirsk Community Library to create a special resource bank.

Under the title 'Solutions' the groups have set out to provide parents, schools and individuals with a wealth of resources linked to Specific Learning Difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions. 

The project will be launched at a special 'after hours' event at Thirsk Library on Saturday March 3rd between 2 and 4pm. During the afternoon there will also be an opportunity for parents, carers and professionals to find out about the resources which will be available and also others sources of support.

SENDIASS, NYPACT, The British Dyslexia Association, North Yorkshire's Inclusive Support Service , Richmond Enhanced Manstream School for Cognition and Learning, Dyslexia Network Plus and Fun with Autism will all be represented at the event.
