Three young cyclists aim to do their bit for the Northern Echo's 'Backing the Butterwick' campaign.
Following recent damaging events affecting Butterwick Hospice, Andrew Lunn (11), Marcus Weston (13) and James Lunn (13) are using their pedal power to raise funds for the Butterwick Hospice as it aims to quickly recover from being damaged by theft.
Marcus, from Richmond School, has Cardio Facio Cutaneous Syndrome. He therefore, rides an adapted tricycle and aims to ride 30 miles spread over the month of July. Marcus took part in the recent Cycling for All event which was run in conjunction with Stage 1 Cycles Hawes.
Andrew, from Trinity Academy Richmond, and his brother James, also from Richmond School, are riding from Richmond in Surrey to their home in Richmond in Yorkshire. They aim to ride the 275 miles in 5 days in the first week of August.
