The British Dyslexia Association is offering free training for parents on study skills via a webinar
The British Dyslexia Association have announced that they are hosting a free webinar for parents on study skills. The event on Wednesday June 3rd at 7.30pm - 8.30 pm will give an overview of study skills linked to reading, writing, numeracy, organisation and revision. Delegates will be given examples of a range of strategues which will include the use of assistive technology and how resources can be accessed by students.
This session is designed for parents of young people with dyslexia aged 11 years or over. The session may also be useful for young people with dyslexia aged 14 years or over to join.
The webinar is hosted by Lynn Lovell, a trainer and tutor on several SpLD/ Dyslexia courses with The British Dyslexia Association. She is passionate about all areas of assessment and support for individuals who face barriers to learning. Lynn has previously been employed as a specialist teacher in secondary and FE settings and as an Acting SENCo.
The webinar will be followed by the opportunity for parents to ask questions.
