4th January Secondary School Age (12 spaces)
This is an offsite Mountain Bike activity suitable for older children that are confident on their bikes. Stage 1 Cycles will be following the blue route at Hamsterley Forest. This is a whole day activity so please book on for both sessions on the date. Clothing MUST be suitable for the weather and biking, no jeans, walking boots or inappropriate footwear, trainers are perfect. Lots of thin multiple layers, including water proof coat/trousers, full finger gloves and water bottle are essential. If you are bringing your own bike it must be in good working order appropriate size and suitable for off road conditions. Helmet wearing is compulsory. Helmets must be less than 5 years old, fit correctly and with no cracks or significant denting. Mountain Bikes and helmets are available to loan but must be booked.
5th January Primary school Age (10 spaces)
This is a full day of activities based at Stage 1 Cycle's site in Hawes. This is a session for primary aged children who are beginners or children with SEND. In the morning yhey will be developing cycling and bike handling skills. After lunch they will be doing Christmas Crafts inside the Dales Countryside Museum. This is a full day session please book on for both sessions before and after lunch.
Suitable clothes for outside cycling and the weather should be worn. These should include lots of layers, waterproof jacket, trousers, gloves. Please avoid jeans and walking boots. If you are using your own bike it must be in good working order and appropriately fitting. Helmets are compulsory and should be the correct size and less than 5 years old. Bikes and helmets are available for loan.
