North Yorkshire County Council Offers Free Online Support Sessions for Parents and Carers of Neurodiverse Children

North Yorkshire County Council is extending a helping hand to parents and carers of neurodiverse children by providing free online support sessions. These sessions aim to empower parents and carers with the knowledge and skills to better understand and meet the needs of their children.

Presented by the North Yorkshire County Children and Family Service Early Help, the sessions promise to be insightful and practical. With a focus on various aspects of neurodiversity, the sessions aim to equip parents and carers with strategies to support their children effectively.

The series comprises three sessions, each addressing different challenges faced by neurodiverse children and their families:

  1. "Supporting you to support your child during shutdown, meltdown, and crisis" - Scheduled for Wednesday, 1st May from 6pm to 7pm.

  2. "Supporting you and your child with emotional and sensory regulation" - Taking place on Wednesday, 5th June from 6pm to 7pm.

  3. "Supporting you and your child with sleep" - Set for Wednesday, 3rd July from 6pm to 7pm.
